You Graduated College, Now What?!

Congratulations on graduating from college! Now it's time to get a job and enter "the real world". But how?

Graduating from college

As you began your college career you had the opportunity to take many classes that gave you a small glimpse into what the job world may look like. You selected a major (and if you are like 90% of students- changed that major) and worked towards your degree.

Graduating from college in some ways may feel like gaining the prize at the top of the hill after a lot of work. In some ways this is true, and you should absolutely celebrate your great accomplishment!

In others this is just the beginning, and the real and arguably most important learning will start now. Before you start applying for jobs, make sure you are set up for success. I have a course all about what to do to put your best foot forward, feel free to check it out here.

As you conclude your studies, it is important to set up some sort of entry level opportunity, or internship. Many internships now a days are paid opportunities and are an amazing way to get your foot in the door of a company you would like to work with one day.

Paid internships are extremely valuable. They provide you a safe environment to learn and get your hands dirty, while still being able to earn a little money.

What career path should I take after graduating college?

When you're looking for an internship or an entry level position, it is important to have some sort of idea about your career path. Where do you see yourself? What kind of work will bring you fulfillment? If you need help with your career path, I have an excellent course for you. It is my most popular course, and I have helped hundreds of people figure out their career path. Check it out here.

Don't forget to celebrate your accomplishment, but I can promise if you can put your best foot forward, and have an idea of your desired career path before you apply for an internship or entry level job, your life after college will be that much more efficient and enjoyable!
